Let me get this straight. We want to clean up the game, correct? Take away the hitting from behind penalties and hitting the opposition while he is in a defenseless position.
I was at a college game in the East recently and saw at least five boarding/hitting from behind hits that went uncalled. FINALLY, one was called after the kid didn’t get up because he was unconscious.
I’m really confused. We are saying we need to be hard on this behavior, but we let this go on and on and on. Either the refs are not seeing it or they are past their day. We talk out of both sides of our mouths.
We want to clean it up, BUT … everyone better get on the same page here. You would think after the tragedy that happened to Jack Jablonski, it would have been enough to open our eyes. But I guess we have very, very short memories!
